Kat if you are out there please help another wolf brother with some of your super advice. Not to offend anyone else but Kat paints wolfen like nobody I have ever seen and she always impresses me and I was really hoping to get her opinion of this fig. :innocent:

That being said and this being my first attempt a wolfen or any other rackham fig. Please provide as much advice as possible.:D

The link to the fig is:

First off, photo work.

Less background, more mini. Nice background, but that is not what we are rating. Less background means that there are less pixels - less compression required - better quality pic.

Next, adjust the brightness/contrast. It is very hard to see the dark areas of this mini. This may be corrected in your photo editor or you may simply need more light on the subject when taking the pic. It looks like your camera was compensating for that white background.

Finally, try different angles. The pose is pretty cool, but the camera angle does nothing for it. Foreshortening of the shield and sword and the head is tucked into his right armpit.

Sorry to sound harsh, but his looks like a pretty cool mini with a good paint job and I would like to see it in a \"better light\".

Much better picture. I see at least a point of improvement.

Now you need Kat to tell you how to make that look like fur and flesh.

I see a need for smoother blending at the nails/claws. The metals (leg armor/arm armor & sword) need a wash & a highlight. The gold(?) studs need a similar treatment.
