Keeping your minis safe

Hey everybody!!

I don't know if this is the right tread for it, but here it goes...

One of the big problems I faced when I started painting minis was to find a way to keep it safe, so that all the time I spent painting it didn't go through the drain...

Fortunately, I've a very handy boyfriend ( and since it's his minis ;) ) he came up with this storage system.

Cheers! :)

Thats a cool idea there, i know a lot of the members here (myself included) keep thier miniatures 'safe' simply by not painting them in the first place

Neat stuff. Mines are stores in boxes wrapped in soft stuff...

That looks like the wow boardgame, all painted up. Do show..and tell if the game is any good

You can see all the minis painted at http://amaolivre.wordpress.com/miniaturas/warcraft/.

Regarding the game: to be honest, I had much more fun painting it than playing it. Don't get me wrong, it's a great game if it's played with the right people. Otherwise, it easily get very, very long and boring, because you have to wait ages until one of your partner finally decides what he wants to do ( never-mind talking about sour losers.... ).

Again, it's a good game if you and your buddies just want to kick some monsters butts...

Cheers!

Very nice minis, you can be proud of those.

Lol, i know both those types of players, have both rolled into one in my regular gaming group. He spends ages figuring his turns out in blood bowl. And i have given up playing Classic Battletech with him as it just takes too long. And boy oh boy does he get childishly angry when he looses or worse yet when his rpg character dies due to player stupidity

LOLOL...

Ok... Small tutorial ;)

1 - I drew the layout of the minis on a milimetric sheet ( that makes it easier to make even spicing in between );
2 - He attach it to the foam with pins so it won't budge;
3 - With a very sharp precision knife, make the vertical cuts on the foam.
4 - Take care with the depth: it has to go a bit deeper than depth of the mini so it's easier to remove it afterwards;
5- Remove the foam from the inside of the vertical cuts;

And that it: lot's of patience and a lot of precision blades, because the foam quickly blunts it...

Cheers...

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.

Just to expand a little further: Obsessive-compulsive disorder is an anxiety disorder in which people have unwanted and repeated thoughts, feelings, ideas, sensations (obsessions), or behaviors that make them feel driven to do something (compulsions).
