More monument than man, a legend and an avatar of celebrity TV cheffing. never will there be a man capable of taking on his mantle. The only people who came close were the Fat Ladies. I feel upset.

65 I believe. There was a documentary/interview on him yesterday that I recorded. Will carry more poignancy now.

Damn shame. I watched the documentary last night, twas a jolly good laugh. There will never be another quite like him, his honesty , passion and the chaos that he generally created whilst filming make for some of the best TV moments.
Shouldn\'t think he\'ll need much embalming though.... I would imagine most of his insides are / were pretty pickled.
