after doing the cmon mini I was kinda hit by a bout of lack of inspiration... so I didnt manage to paint anything much, and I have a stack of semi-painted minis sitting around.....

However, someone comissioned me to do up a Khador war group....and I ended up doing this first figure....
I seldom paint machine stuff so I am not too sure how this warjack looks to ppl who do warmachine. Comments about this are appreciated

I\'m not really into this ochre but apart from that it\'s a nice standard paintjob.
You could always make it more exciting by adding some ID numbers or chipped paint on the armour, mud and rust for a more used appearance. And the pins on the ochre armour don\'t seem to be painted, you could do those as well.

actually the colour was to the specification of the guy who got me to paint it, he wanted a khaki/earth/ochre thingy, similar to a concept art of it.. the pins are painted.... they kind of dont look like from this distance...:p

hmmmmmmm I havent tried the chipped paint/mud/worn look thingy.... but will look into it....:) thanks for the comments

I like the paint scheme a lot. Maybe the armour could use some more highlights here and there, but the overall look is very good!

#*@$&^*&#t! The mini arent got like 3 votes and it fell from 8 to 6.7!

I mean..... is it that bad that its only worth 1? It seems every time I post up a new mini someone comes along and votes it down from wherever. :flame:

There seem to be a few tossers who enjoy taking pot shots at work and links posted on these forums..... Pretty sad really. I think the paint job is fine - I like the snowy bases!

Try some grease at the joints and some oil leaks at the hydrolics. Look at construction machinery and see where it weathers and gets dirty.

Military machines when not at war are never dirty. They spend all of their spare time washing and repainting. However, in the real battlefield, they get filthy - and do it quickly.
