I finally got around to posting my updated Black Templar Marshal. This is the long running magnetic commander project I\'ve resurrected several times. I\'m setting him aside again but finally (FINALLY!) have a \"finished\" image of him (minus backpack) with one set of arms.

The other model is the Kharn NMM model I was playing with. I have decided not to add any blood and gore (for now) as it was my first NMM and at this point I really don\'t want to screw anything up. I don\'t even want to seal this model for fear of damaging a paint job I\'m really pleased with.

As always I would really appreciate any feedback.

Thanks for looking.

I really like that Khorne guy. I would leave the blood off. I always find that a cheesy effect even when done well. Just imagine this is moments before he is about to cut into his first victim.

I like the way the gold turned out. It\'s got a sort of burnished look.

The cape of course really sticks out on the other model. I love the magnetic concept, though these pics don\'t really show it well.

Some very nice, very solid painting, as always matey! I feel the Nmm needs more contrast to help it pop and appear more realistic , and some of the free hand lettering could benefit from being more uniformed. I feel Hypocritical pointing out these areas for criticism, as I really struggle with this myself, but if you can get those nailed it will go from a very good mini to a great mini. Did the vote and comment thing!

I believe I have already commented on Kharn in the wip thread, but have to say the comment on it from wartmcbeighn made me chuckle. You have gone against White Dwarf\'s opinion on NMM. Shame on you!

As for the Templar, I have mixed feelings on him. The swirly cloak works really well, but the freehand lettering on the inside is less balanced and looks inferior in comparison. It slightly detracts from the overall look for me.

The red is quite nice in general, with some good contrast, although it could probably be a bit smoother. The black however, is rather flat and looks to have had less attention and levels of highlights, which is unfortunate, as it is the majority of the model.

His face is a little bit messy looking in the pictures but that may be the angle it\'s at. I think more blacklining between the skin and the terminator style bionics would help.

I do like the dark, stained looking purity seals though, much better than the usual bright bone colour I normally see them in. I\'ll be stealing that idea when I next paint some.

Thanks for the feedback, folks. I don\'t improve without it.

And, OrkyDave, please don\'t stop giving me feedback. I really do value it.

Somereally nice stuff here. I would agree with what is said. Also for NMM to work (And I still havent got it to work so take it with a grain of salt) it needs to be blended alot smoother. Still a couple of very solid minis. Did the vote thing.
