Voted :)
Nice face khonner, I particularly like the fire effect on his weapons.
Something to work on, I see the shading on the cloak and other clothing but the straps on the gloves and holding the nips are a bit bright. Have a play and grab some 65-35% water and paint (dark brown) dab it on a paper towl and move the brush from the middle to the bottom of the glove strap, let it dry and do the same thing again until you get a transition that has the light brown coming through but looks browner in the shadows.

Keep up the good work. The tufts of grass really bring it to life.

Yeah good blood and white!

Skin tones need some work and that green looks a little off to me. Maybe darker shadows?

I'm gonna start having nightmares if I keep watching your wip. Where do you find such creepy minis. Looking good though.

Hold on to something Digganob because here's 3 of my Resurrectionists that I finally got done. I think I'm getting more comfortable with doing white.. Thanks for all the help and advice, Bailey.. C&C always welcomed and they should be up for voting tomorrow.. Thanks!

Dr. McMourning:

Sebastian:

Flesh Construct:

Is the undead skin on the flesh construct better, Dragonsreach?? I added more yellow and purple in places as you suggested..

Nice! Feels good to finish!

One thing you might want to try is some zenithal priming. Basically prime in black and then give them a quick hit of white primer from the top. Really helps develop your shadows from top to bottom.

I feel like your shading is a little off. On Dr. McMourning the highlights on the bottom of his legs are brighter then at the top of his head. i think he should have highlights on his hair that are brighter then the legs.

His face looks a little dark too. IMHO the face is the most important part of the mini because most humans are drawn towards faces. So, it is important to make that a focal point. Shading up to the face, i think, is a good way to start working on that, even if looks a little fake sometimes.

Great Job K, The blood and white does look better than the last one too. Its true they are very creapy!

To expand on Demi's thoughts Its ture about the face, what Im working on at the moment is the face of my orc shaman I will load it up once done prob tomorrow and you will see it has the lightest and brightest colours to pull the viewers attention. Zenithal highlights and trick highlighting can be very useful. Have a read of this MassiveVoodoo. Its about lighting techniques hope its useful. massive voodoo is a treasure :)

Liking the Resurrectionists Khonner, the blood stains on McMournings gloves I like in particular. Little details like that add to the feel of a mini a lot. Keep it up!

A bit late, but: the bust is looking good.

To your question: yes, you could push the shadows / highlights more. One of my favorites (maybe because I've seen it live) that made me buy the bust: http://www.puttyandpaint.com/projects/154 . If you look at it it goes to the extremes. Under the eye it's almost pure white white at the lowest part of the face (and on the nect, between bust's busts :) ) it goes to about scorched brown (to a really really dark brown) and still remains feminin.

and 2 more questions about the bust:
- how did you prepare it? To be honest the face looks really rough. Was the metal so porous? If yes, then for the next one: milliput wash + sanding + steel wool is what I'd suggest.
- who made it / what is it called / where can it be bought (preferably in the eu) ?

I appreciate it all.. Canny - what do you think about the Flesh construct's flesh tones? I tried for a more "undead" look, taking into consideration what Dragonsreach suggested with adding more purple/yellow washes to the base tone. Judging by the 4.5 score, it seems to have missed the mark. I got 2 others to try to get it right, but I was planning on making the second one more of a "pieces parts" type of scheme. Supposedly according to the fluff of the game, they are basically thrown together from different parts.. I'm not 100% sure if I can pull it off, but I will take more care of my Zenithal lightning as you suggested.

MAXXxxx - That bust is called Katherine from Morland Studios here in the states. It's a 200mm scale resin. I fixed the main mold line running across her hair line on the top, but I left the little bumps on the shoulders, since I thought that was the mold at the time. I mainly wanted to work on my female skin tones and eyes with a larger scale such as this.. The wife really liked that bust as well, so I might get another one and make it for her. If I do, I will try the milliput trick to get the skin as smooth as possible. I know that WAMP sells some of the Morland Studio line, but I didn't see that particular bust there, they might be able to get it for you tho..

hmm resin, but they are usually smooth when casted...
Morland... who have the "Kreimhild's Revenge" too... they have an online shop, and they ship to the eu at a pretty decent price ($6). Looks like another buy to do if I find a new projekt.
