She looks great! I love the skin - it looks really soft and feminine - and the changes you've made to her face have really improved it.

This is one of the Redbox minis that I have been working on. I'm liking the skin color and I added some scar tissue to him. I also tried a little freehand snakes on the shield.

I have also gone another direction with Pop-Eye.. tried some secret weapon violet..

He looks kind of gladiator ish. Maybe a sandy or desert type of base. I think the colors would work well with that environment.

Thanks Zab..

He turned into a freakin smerf when I tried to add more midtones to the blue.. I was not happy, so I stripped em, re-base coated in Deck tan and then hit the whole thing with SW violet pigment. I then used a few wet q-tips to clean off where I thought the main light would hit the guy. I''m going to try to introduce some darker grey-deck tan for the lower parts of the muscles.. Hopefully I will have some more pics up with tonight's results.

Another update from the weekend.. Here is the Pop-Eye orc bust. Trying to go for like a Steve Buscemi type of look with the eyes.. And worked on the leather parts. I'm pretty happy with the skin, but would like hear opinions on it.. Also in this post is my finished Malifaux Crooligan and undead rat dog totem for my McMourning crew.. C&C welcomed! Thanks!

That bust looks great! I really like the ground work on the malifaux stuff - like broken aged tile or mosaic.

Skin looks good, although i would have expected some blues worked into the bulging veins under the final skin coat. I assume ou are not done with the leathers as the red/brown is a little harsh.

Love de eye!

Besides the good-looking bust, I need to know... Am I the only one that, upon seeing this thread in the list, mentally shouts: "Khonner McLeod, of the clan McLeod!"

Every. Damned. Time.

Ha, I hadn't thought about that until now!

I like the new skin color on the bust. That light to dark range is really nice, very dramatic. Some of the transitions on the back could use some intermediate layers to help smooth them out, but overall I really like it.

I would say the same thing about the back. It's not as nice as the front.

Worked on the base for the Red Box orc. I'm not sure if I should weather the column pieces more or not.. What do you all think? I really like how the plinth came out, it's made outta Australian Bloodwood. Any glaring problems that needs to be addressed? I appreciate it!

Surprise!!! :ghost:

Just thought I'd pop in and check on y'all. ;)

There's only one problem, Frank, I can't zoom in on the pics so hard to tell. :(

Khonner Ive read your wip thread from start to finish now and if you compare your recent stuff to the first few pages you can really see a huge improvement in your skills. Really inspires me great stuff here. Regarding this orc. He looks great so does the wood. The collums i would weather slightly to get more contrast and then it would look awesome! Thanks for the updates!
