Kind of a silly thought...

Well... yesterday I went into the local Hobbytown USA for yet another bottle of Zap-A-Gap CA+... and stumbled upon this little radio controlled car made by a company called Hobbico. It was too funny, so I picked up the starter set, and laughed really hard as my miniature Nissan Skyline tore ass around on the hardwood floors. Upon going to their website (www.microsizers.com), I noticed they have clear body shells avaliable...

So, me being the raving psychotic that I am, and having a serious interest in both miniature painting and automotive performance, I got to thinking \"I could paint one of those up like a miniature... and then drive around my artwork!\"

So, look for the upcoming silliness... I\'m debating if I should go for a realistic finish or something with flames... lol

But anyway, just wondering what everyone\'s thoughts on this would be.

Well, technically it would be a mini... since cars are usually longer than 3 inches...
And it can\'t be a scale model, because it\'s exaggerated a little... more for styling and such. It\'s similar to those ZUM T-shirts sold at auto tuning houses (anime style people and distorted cars with oversized rims and flashy graphics).

if its smaller than real its a mini! would be kool to make a crazy ork wagon that slams into things and can take battle damage with fenders falling off. an remember RED ONES GO FASTER!

warhammer or whatever

Maybe you could remove the \"car\" details and mount the motorized wheel carriage under a chariot or empire battle wagon or something. Won\'t the enemy be surprised when you set up your army and it\'s time to move and your tank just zips forward of its own power?lol

Kinetic Objects d\' Art

This reminds me of when I painted an US Army Fast-Attack Vehicle radio controlled car back in the eighties. I detailed it all out perfectly, just like my miniatures. It was covered with camoflague, and the driver was detailed right down to the wrinkles on his knuckles.

You can imagine my dismay when I rammed it into a pole, causing the vehicle to flip and the driver\'s arms to go flying off.

So have fun, but don\'t be surprised if your masterwork takes a few hard knocks!

I was planning on giving the thing several coats of Krylon High Gloss Clear Coat... so any knocks and such wouldn\'t matter much.

And, as for the chariot/tank/whatever idea... at $30.00 US, the thing is a little too expensive to mount under a Land Raider or something. Oh, and it\'s probably not powerful enough anyway.

But, it\'s a work in progress as we speak... but there\'s also my Le Grande Crane, and a few Fiannas, a Reaper Barbarian, my converted Force Commander for my Aurora Chapter Space Marines, and a few dozen other things on my table right now... so maybe by next year it\'ll be done... hahaha
