hi guys by reviews I mean what we the mini world thought..loved the fight scenes..the special effects..the dinos..the arachnids..the tube worms..and the gerneral look and feel of the movie set in the 20\'s considering it was mainly cg and had to be a world of work to get to look right time period and etc..but the story..hmm here it gets a little wishy washy..having seen the orginal and the 70\'s version...Kong was a bit too human like..hes laughing at her..hes kicking ass all over about half a dozen t-rex\'s..and this little swarm of flying ones are kicking his ass..I didnt care about the characters..Jack Black\'s character needed to be squashed all thru the movie and he gets the corniest line in the movie..twas beauty that killed the beast..another part kong is destroying new york tossing cars like no tomorrow..they run into a park and i guess for like a hour they are ass skating around..cause the sun comes up like no time later..I think i would have to watch it again it might grow on me ;)

Yeah - Faye Wray was supposed to have the \"Beauty killed the Beast\" line, but died before they could film it.

I really want to see this movie.

steelcult its awesome visually the stampede/trainwreck of giant herbivores was really well pretty funny..but again all these guys running would be tomatoe paste..have a flashback to the Jurassic park movie when the people are running and all the bird like dinos are running past..got that picture?..make those dinos like brotos or brachisaurus..and in a canyon..lol..the cheese was running over lol

steelcult sent a pm..yeah now im hoping someone does egdgar rice burroughs land that time forgot..the old version was the s**t back in the day..a new one would be sweet done to the quality of Kong

Yeah I loved this movie, I think its probably the best movie Ive seen all year.. now keep in mind Ive maybe gone out and seen about 10 but I enjoyed it much.

I saw Narnia over christmas and it was good, but I felt Kong was better. Tilda swinton was hot as the White Queen though..:D

Just saw King Kong last night. I remember why I hate going to the movies...I hate rude people, and this theatre had more than its share.

But getting past that, I really enjoyed the movie. Kong was freaking cool, and Peter Jackson seems to excel at these sprawling epics.

It was a perfect popcorn adventure type movie that I think we need more of.

I thought it was a really well done movie. The fight scene between Kong and the T-Rex\'s was awesome and how he finished off the final one was cool. King Kong had enough in it to be two epics so that is what kept it out of my top 5 list. It was almost too much but definitely worth seeing. I didn\'t get the \'Twas beauty that killed the beast\' line? Why DID he strand himself on the Empire State building?

Excellent.
A long while ago ( 4+ years) I saw a Stop Motion Marionette (a la Ray Harryhausen) for the six armed martians. It looked good way back then just wished the movie had got off the ground.

Edgar Rice Burroughs, a much simpler form of \"science fiction\" and one that\'s missed out a lot these days.;)

speaking of Harryhausen, did all of you note that that is the name of the classy restaurant in Disney\'s Monsters INC movie.

As for KONG, he kicks ass. To me, the best monster scenes recently started in
Jurassic Park with the TRex, then in FOTR, the Balrog, then in TT, the Balrog again, then in ROTK, the march of the Mumaks, but Petey has outdone himself again with Kong and the Rexes. Like in Titannic, we all know the ending, but unlike Titannic ( let the rich people die) WE don\'t want the monkey to check out.

NOW, Peter get out there and make Smog!
