This time I want to share my progress on my favorite miniature. It`s the big King Maulg!
First of all I would like to introduce a new collective blog. We`re some skilled painters and hobbyfanatics with own blogs so far. And now you re able to find all our progress, works and tutorials at one place:
Maybe some of you have seen first colours applied on him in my previous thread. While I was painting him I ve got the idea to change his axe into a battlespear with a big, worn flag on it. Like he`s right abck from any war.
After this was done it came to my mind to test out what I am able to customize also. So he`s got a shoulderplate made of a mix of milliput yellow and some greenstuff.
To make him looking more danger some spikes on his back were added.
So that`s my current progress:
Sadly I managed to glue the speartip in the wrong angle, it`s also a bit bulky. So I am going to sculpt a new one which is a bit smaller.
Beside of that little change I am working on a shield that he`s carrying in his other hand, holding it just on the leatherstraps. Like the shield has got way too heavy for him.
Here`s a first scetch of it:
