So good quality right on the heels of the top companies. That's good to know and I thank you all for that knowledge. The sculpts seem to be a bit Marmite - love em or hate 'em which is also a good thing... Nothing worse than damn neutral minis.

Studio Mcvey minis are not as impressive to me. That is not to say that they are not a great minis though. They made me a loyal customer when they came out with Kifaro. Rhinos are my favorite animal and up until recently they were neglected by sculptors. Then Allan C, in his almightiness, sculpted Kifaro and a Rhinotaur, and Picster made a rhino bust and now rhinos are finally getting some attention. Kifaro costs about the same as many of the larger Kingdom Death minis. Price is partially based on the size of the mini - yes Studio Mcvey minis are a bit cheaper but they are also smaller than most Kingdom Death minis. Kifaro: about $50 plus shipping. Wet Nurse: twice as big as Kifaro and about $80 plus shipping.

Plus mini companies are getting pretty creative with their pricing as a result of offering limited edition pieces. Personally I will spend a little more $ if it means that I will actually get a copy of a mini that is limited run. The flower knight from kingdom death was about $35 and I am glad I bought one because they sold out very quick.

Also from what I can tell Studio McVey and Kingdom Death minis are still fairly cheap when compared to GW, the tyrant of mini prices.
