Kitchen Nightmares

Anyone else watch this show? I love it! I am not a reality TV person, even though I am basically forced to watch American Idol because my wife is a choral director. But, Gordon Ramsay is the man! No qualms about telling people how its going to be. He knows his stuff and is willing to impart that on folks who have no real right to be running a restaurant. Its a great show, and if you haven\'t seen it check it out!

I watched ONE episode, and found it to be fairly entertaining.

I was sick that day.;)

I never watched his other show as if someone talked to me like he does, even my mild-mannered self would be tempted to smack him upside his head!

But the one episode I watched of Kitchen Nightmares dealt with an Italian family restaurant that the co-owner was one of those \"beat everybody up\" type of stereoptypes. Funny to watch.

Is it ever really wise to verbally abuse anyone with close proximity and ready access to sharp knives and/or scalding liquids? lol

Gordon has been on out TV screens for a good few years now. On one of his shows, Hell\'s Kitchen, where he taught celebs to cook and run a kitchen, one of the celebs did slap him.

Oddly I don\'t care for Hell\'s Kitchen. I think I like him basically invading these people\'s nasty environment and fixing their livelihoods for them.

I don\'t really watch either but I have preferred the one you like more. The other kinda just means more celebrities looking for air time. Mind you, Gordon doesn\'t do Hell\'s Kitchen any more.

i don\'t have t.v.:(, but this geezer sound hilarious...in this p.c. age, it\'s nice to know that some people on t.v. still have the balls to be completes jerks...
@dan: it is not wise to provoke people in an environment full of knives and boilin\' soup, but you would be surprised how much abuse people will take, especially when they feel their job is on the line...
i worked in a 4 star kitchen before, and the boss was a total wanker...he would burn people, and hit people, and bring the servers to tears...the tips were so good, that people just took it...i\'m the only one he never messed with, \'cause he knew i would cut his ass...
eventually i got tired of the environment though, and just stopped showin\' up for work...happiness and good times are worth way more than money...

cheers
jah

Seen a couple of episodes - prefer Top Chef - I guess I prefer to see people being abused by a panel rather than one guy.

Yes. I love Chef Ramsay. My wife downloads them. Kitchen Nightmares is a little watered down from his usual shows.
Hell\'s Kitchen rocks too.
