It was bad enough they screwed over \'Bumblebee\' in Transformers...Now this  WHY!!!???

The only saving grace with \'Bumblebee\' was at least he wasn\'t a new VW beetle. If he was...man, I would walk away lol

I mean... if that is indeed KITT it\'s going to run something like this...

<KITT>: Michael, the evil man responsible for the wheelchair theft is escaping.

<MICHAEL>: *While sliding over the new bumpy bonnet* After him KITT!!!

<KITT>: It\'s no use Michael, he\'s in a standard spec (insert german car manufacturer here) family car - it can outperform me in every way.

<MICHAEL>: You useless pile of scrap metal, it\'s all good and well talking but they should have spend some money on allowing you to negotiate a damn corner! *shakes fist at sky* Damn you Edsel Ford II!!!

***Roll end credits***

Here\'s more info. It comes out February. The Hasselhoff makes an appearance as Michael Knight, but the driver is his son (also an Army Ranger, Hooah!). Apparently the car transforms into 3 modes (Uber?!? blasphemy?)

3 modes??? slowly forward, slowly in reverse and parked (probably also slowly).

Why couldn\'t they pick something already cool like a koenigsegg or corvette or even an Audi R8... at least those can all move.

They may as well cast Shane MacGowan from the Pogues to play Michael Knight. :cussing:

I\'m sure the main reason for the car they picked was the amount of Money Ford Motor Company gave them, and had very little to do with the actual performance of the car, or the opinions of the fans.

I\'m pretty sure US fans would have been upset if KITT were a foreign make. The original was US made.

I\'m more excited about a forthcoming A-Team movie. BA\'s van better not be a VW microbus!!!

Was it Little Britain where some dude went out fighting crime in a Knight Rider style spin off vehicle called Maxi Cab? The lameness of this has instantly made me remember the sketch, but only vaguely, and my Google powers seem to be letting me down for once. If anyone can help out with some form of link, picture or ideally a YouTube vid it would be much appreciated. I seem to remember it was bloody funny.
