This is my first miniature in over a year, so any feedback, comments and votes are appreciated.

He is converted - I removed the original axe and replaced it with the chalice of blood. I took an axe from a GW dwarf sprue and gave him that instead - I like the big double-bladed axes.

I like the coldness of this miniature as well as I dig the old school style. The painting is precise as well.

For some constructive ciriticism a bit more contrast to some places might help a bit to make the mini \"pop\" more. Like deeper shadows on the skin and a little more, small sharp highlights on the hair. I think the NMM could use some more contrast as well. To help building more contrast you can try to choose more contrast in the colourscheme as well. As you kept to a specific cold atmosphere and colours you can instead of using different colours use more contrast betwwen the dark and light colours. Like making boots, belt and hair a bit darker for example.

Well done!

Thanks for the input Avelorn. All good comments - I\'\'ll keep them in mind on my next piece. I tend to stop a little short on highlights, so the contrast thing is something I do need to work on.

Oh, and there is no NMM, it\'s all metallics. I think the girdle looks a little like it could be NMM, is that what you meant?

Thanks! Good to be back and earn a \"Barbaric Splendor\" from the man who dubbed me the Barbarian King :)

Nice work. I agree with Anders on the coctrast. Especially under the arms and in the muscles around the chest.

I agree with Jim as well, it was nice seeing your name appearing on the boards again.
