a \'lil bit o progress has been made, but not without mistakes. i need to add skin to the body and head, and fatten it up. im also going to cut the head off and reattach it lower, because i think the neck is too long (hes based on the reaper fellows, and i want him to fit in.

i need help!

it looks good, I would say that you should make a thicker throat, broader shoulders and use one of those \"rubber-brushes\" to make a smoothe surface on the putty.

i think im going to just cut the neck out completely (the models im imitating dont really have one). i think you\'re right about the sholders, and i hadnt even thought about a rubber brush. thats a great idea, i was wondering how to smooth it out, and now i know!

That\'s looking great - looks like you have the proportions perfectly, and the face is amazing! I\'m not really a sculptor myself, but I would recommend a rubber shaper as Larre did, especially for the final stages. I made my own by ripping the rubber endy-bit of one of my sister\'s free cuticle pusher things, and supergluing it onto the end of a defunct biro. There are several internet stores that carry them, and they shouldn\'t be hard to find in a local art shop either :)

i\'m not entirely sure what a kobold is so i would go with the others and say javelins. nice work on the hand btw

From the SRD:

Kobolds are short, reptilian humanoids with cowardly and sadistic tendencies.
A kobold’s scaly skin ranges from dark rusty brown to a rusty black color. It has glowing red eyes. Its tail is nonprehensile. Kobolds wear ragged clothing, favoring red and orange. A kobold is 2 to 2-1/2 feet tall and weighs 35 to 45 pounds. Kobolds speak Draconic with a voice that sounds like that of a yapping dog.
COMBAT
Kobolds like to attack with overwhelming odds—at least two to one—or trickery; should the odds fall below this threshold, they usually flee. However, they attack gnomes on sight if their numbers are equal.
They begin a fight by slinging bullets, closing only when they can see that their foes have been weakened. Whenever they can, kobolds set up ambushes near trapped areas.
Light Sensitivity (Ex): Kobolds are dazzled in bright sunlight or within the radius of a daylight spell.
Skills: Kobolds have a +2 racial bonus on Craft (trapmaking), Profession (miner), and Search checks.

With his current positioning, and the rest of your troops. I would give him a spear in the unfinished hand.

By the way it looks amazing.

Really good-looking now! :D The hand is amazing, and the proportions are still spot on. Your sculpt is looking a good deal better than the ones you painted! And yeah, javelins or spear would be good

I would like to stand up on behalf of the Gnome population, but I can\'t be bothered. Go Gnomes?

:p

Oh, and nice sculpt. I agree, better than the painted ones.
