hey CMON...

the customer who purchased my Pedro Kantor, and my Vulkan He'stan, liked them so much he wanted another...
this is my version of the Khan...
i made a few slight changes from the 'Eavy Metal studio version...
i felt that the topknot should be held up with a red tie, instead of a black one, since the hair was black...
i chose to go up to yellow on the reds as my final highlight, instead of the pale red GW used...
finally, i went with black on the leg straps, since it matched the holster better than goin' with brown...
everything else is stock...

i had fun painting this guy, as it was my first time painting chipped armour...
kind of hard to do on white, as that final little highlight doesn't show up well, and a black shadow line just looks bad...

the only thing i'm not happy about on this guy is the Power Sword...
it didn't want to cooperate, but i've run out of time, so it's gonna have to do...

hope you guys like him...

I Nine'd it. Very nice work, I really like the cloak and the face. I'll be referencing that cloak from now on. Nice on Jah!

thanks guys...

sorry my photo-fu is so week on this guy...
funny how a day away from a mini (or it's pics) can really make one see things with a fresh eye...

@the generul: hahahahaha...
wait 'til you see the frenchified Logan Grimnar i'm workin' on right now...
i've gone for a more turquoise tone to the armour instead of grey...
is good, no???

by the way, all the paints used on this guy are P3...
Idrian Flesh is a good brown for shading white, and makes the deep spots seem a little less harsh than scorched brown...
the reddish tone of the Idrian makes things a little more interesting for the eye...
the overall white is Menoth White Highlight over a layer of Trollblood Highlight (which was my basecoat) mixed 50/50 with pure white...
final highlights are pure white, but they don't really show up in the pic...

overall, i'm fairly happy with the result here...
i'm lookin' forward to tryin' the chipping again on Logan...
should be a little more 3-D than what i've done here...

thanks again, all...

cheers
