Lol it's alright I'm totally open to critique, to be honest, I was going to do either the lining or the sash red, but ended up doing both, I don't really want to use too many colours and keep him quite monochromatic as a commissar with that contrast of bloody red and creamy grey mask... descisions, decisions :question: I'm prone to just diving in and going with the flow, changing my mind and altering as I go, often come back to a piece the next day with fresh eyes and redo/change things so we'll see

ok thats me put back in my box, just thought it made the sash look like leather too...grumble, mumble shuffles off into the cold wintery night never to be seen again.

Aww come out the cold I didn't mean it like that :shame: meant your obs have been duely noted and I may well change it to another shade of red or another tone of something dark I've already used, really depends how it all comes together toward the end if it looks too much like an extension of the coat lining rather than a seperate cloth sash if you know what I mean, which I think is what you said originally basically.

Did abit more, suffering man flu so not as much as I'd of liked (again!)

Probly about 75% done on the large panels, still bit of shade and highlight to go to give it more depth, then to start the raised bar bits after that then the depressed panels, although I'm really struggling what to do with them, I did base them up like the rest of the armour but thinned it off again as I really wasn't happy with so much bright steel, although it will all be weathered later it was abit too much starring me in the face, should have taken a pic before I took it off again for opinions duh... concidering doing them in blue to add colour break but keeping in line with the other blue that'll be on the fig, may end up being a very trial and error approach as likewise I don't want to turn him into a smurf, but balance the colours lol. Probly feel better when I can have more time and feel less sick then get more colour on and tidy up the overbrush which is looking abit scrappy. HEADACHE.

To be perfectly honest, and in my humble opinion, I like the darker look to the back of the legs. If you could glaze them with a hint of the blue, and minimal highlights, I think that would look great! But that's just me, and I haven't painted in a bit, nor have I submitted one that's gotten an 8 yet, so....

Njeah neither have I, only got a few up and they are between 6.0 and 7.7, I'll try anything tbh, have never settled on one particular way of doing something yet so I'll give it a go.

Yeah about this lol... I came me from work a while back now, my commissar was floating in a bowl of half eaten cheerios, no idea where his sword has gone, GW fluff is incorrect, Huron's rebellion was infact swiftly crushed by a 2 year old assassin and shoved in the washing machine detergent draw, all because I forgot to bloody take them back upstairs after taking a couple of pics downstairs the night before, this W.I.P is fubar. I could have cried but it's my own fault.

lol, I tried to salvage belive me, I'm going to FW order toward the end of the month after payday and get new copies, along with a couple of other things commies body is ok but I don't have his pistol, new pack would give me complete model and the hand for that one, huron is totaled though
