Krieg Commissar update
so, it\'s been a while since I started this little project, but i\'ve finaly got something to show for my work.
first off, the thieving guardsmen will be Savlar Chem Dogs. I\'ve allready converted a lasgun to look less standard.
second, i\'ve build the trench and surrounding earthworks.
the trench itself is made from wood, modeling wood for the structure, and McDonalds coffee stirrers for the boarding.
the earthworks are build using foam as a base, build up and textured using wall filler.
so, a couple more things to do before priming:
convert the Cadians into ChemDogs
detail the trench (just a couple of little details, both inside and out to make it look more alive.)
finish the trench bottom
I also had a couple of questions, which i was hoping somebody here would be able to answer: is it possibe to use GW paints to color a clear two part resin?
I want to add some water to the bottom of the trench, to make it look waterlogged, and i was thinking about a brownish green teint.
should i bulk up the wall in front of the heavy bolter, and if yes, how?
also, i am planning to paint the entire thing in quite muted brownish colors, with the chem dogs a kind of brown red, and the commissar in a really dark brown coat, with a bright freehand or something on the back.
the main focal point however will be the commissars bolt pistol, visible from almost every angle, it will be painted a really vivid bright red.
hope you like it so far, please let me know what you think.
oh, and sorry for the big pictures
