kroms Giant WIP help please

This is my first wip attempt on CMON, I\'ve posted in the hope that you might be able to give me some HONEST feedback and some painting tips, as I\'m pissed off with an ungrateful commission :flame: lol and doubting my ability to paint. No smug remarks Ritual lol but some constructive ones would be heaven sent


I\'m painting this GW Giant for myself,
Firstly the skin is only partly done, comments please on tone shading etc

Also, does this piece of armour (NMM) on the forearm look anything like a steel breastplate, help please and any tips gratefully recieved

Personally I think its looking great, you really shouldn\'t be doubting your abilty.

The skin is great, very smooth, But would be tempted to add some more nuances, maybe get some purples and red\'s into the shading.

NMM: Great. No qualms there.

Thanks Matty, yes I\'ve got more to do on the skin, its not a very good photo either, but just wanted to know if the colours going in the right direction.
Done a bit more on the breastplate as I noticed it was not smooth enough, after I saw it on the photo

The NMM need much more contrast brightet highlights, darker shading and smoother blending, the skin is looking great BTW.

i\'ve seen much worse NMM, often from my own paintbrush, you should be proud

looking good Krom it\'s a big beast to be working on..
The Skin I agree with matty a few more different colours maybe pick out veins etc just to bring it to life a bit more...
..The NMM looks good but maybe a little bit too clean for a Giant they\'re filthy buggers ya know..maybe some rusts and stains etc thinned Dark flesh works great.

Nice to see you here with a BIG wip Krom.

The NMM to my eyes is great, but good point from demonherald on rust and wear.

The skin is nice and smooth. Bit too light for my taste but that\'s just a personal thing. I like a much deeper shade to start from to accentuate

But good god man - no doubting your ability

Thanks chaps great point on the rust, I put a wash on but its disapeared in the highlights, i\'ll try dark flesh. Cheers

fantastic nmm dude. i would dirty it but apart from that it\'s superb. to me the skin (especially on the arm) doesn\'t look very shaded - the feet seem to have more contrast. a great job so fr. don\'t doubt your skill mark
