Kroot and Vespid skin colour

I\'m going to start a Tau army and I want to include some kroot carnivor and some Vespid Stingwings. but here is the problem, I have absolutely NO IDEA on how to paint the kroot like they look in the gallery.

they look a little like catachan green base and then highlights by adding more bleached bone, is this correct or are there more colours I need to look for?

The Vespids look a little easier,

I think the Eavy metal team used shadow grey, space wolf grey for the flesh and regal blue for the darker parts. again, sound those like good colours for you?

PS: what colour eyes do both have?

For the kroot, I would try;

GW catachan green base colour
build up highlights by mixing GW rotting flesh
For the clothes I think scorched brown and highlighted looks best for me.
The codex has some ideas and painting colours, and the collectors guide is great for GD winners piccies.
If you do a search on here I\'m sure you will get some great ideas for colours as well.
I cant see what standard your painting at so its difficult to know how much detail you want, hope this helps

Thanks, i\'ll take a look at those books, as for my painting level, it\'s \'normal\' not good, not bad. I try to get better with every unit, and I want to buy some Tau things next weekend or so

anyone an idea about the eyes? I though vespid red one\'s and kroot also?
