Kroot Merc Army Project Log (1st squad) update

Wanted to do a kroot merc army for the past year, drew up a list and been gettin ideas together for the last week and here some them in the first carnivore squad

Shaper - armoured to represent the better armour sv. trying to represent \'blood of the stalker\' wargear, when he is based he will be pullin his fingers through a pool of blood

second in command giving the \'Halt\' command, this guys foot will be resting on a fallen tree when based.

Mmmm meat off the bone, this guy is only about 70% done, idea is he is pulling meat off the bone, still need to sculpt it though

Waterskin dude, hopefully wot this guy is doin is pretty obvious, (he is pullin the cork out of the waterskin)

this is cool, the only thing I disslike, is the eyepatch, I think kroots as rock hard warriors, if they lose an eye, they don\'t really care

They guy with the \"halt\" command is unrealistic... his gun is like \"floating\" in air

But as I know from the army... the gun is \"hanging\" and you only hold the strap of it. Not like pushing it in the air ^^

I have a kroot merc. army also. I didn\'t convert any of them....there are so many lol

I like the idea with the blood stalker. Don\'t forget that kroot hounds are nasty as you can have i believe 10 kroot mercs. and twice as many hounds. I think you can have between 10-20 hounds that fleet of foot. (correct me if I\'m wrong, but that\'s the way I see it worded).

if u took a kroot hound pack u can have up to 20 hounds and up to 20 kroot an the ev adaption fleet of foot.
i can see wot ur saying Edimastra, when i glue it ill rotate the arm down so the gun is pressed on the back, give the tension in the strap a little more realism. thanks for ur comments guys

I like how you are converting the Shaper and his buddies. You have made great use of the blue wire you got there. I will especially steal your way of using the wire to connect the plasticard gunstrap to the gun.

I suggest using lots of cork for the basing. You can find it dirt cheap and it can be hacked and torn up to look realistic.

quick update, been working on 2 new ones and semi-finishing the others, only 1 new guy here tm the moment am still modelling the other

rite - halt! 2nd in command

had a few people metion the gun didnt have enough \'gravity\' so i changed the strap. it was a little diff to get the gun to drop far enough (its virtually hitting the ground) but i reckon iv managed to solve it

meat eater!

struggled with the concept for this a little, i dont think iv done a too bad a job, although i may change it if i think of another way to go about it

knife sheath am working on for meat eater

newest member Veggie (guy am working on is cathing fruit and their will others throwing fruit/water skin) if u havnt guessed already ill be sculpting some fruit bearing trees to support this concept a little more

maneating plant - one of many, hopefully ill be able to make a few variants

as a big fan of personalised units and little touches - i think these guys are awesome.

I particularly like the meat eater, and cork puller. great ideas and refreshing to see them on something other than space marines! where are you based i\'d love to give you a game!!

I\'ve got some Kroot that I converted up to be on and around trees that may interest you. They are built and flashed but not painted. I will get some pictures of them for you when I have the time.
