yeah go french the language of romance. You\'ll find that speaking with a french accent to an american girl will really get the romance going ;) ( works also for girls who speak with a french accent to a american guy)
Yeah, and it sucks. I mean, you spend years and years trying to improve your english, and finally when you have it down pat and got rid of your accent, then they tell you that it\'s the accent that gets you the girls. Damn teachers, they need to understand where our priorities are. :flame:

Well looks like you got the lucky end of the bargain, an english teatcher with no accent ;) And don\'t despair, imitating the french accent is really not that hard when you are french:
1- pronouce every \"th\" sound with a nice \"z\" sound that should get you going in the right direction
2- Prounouce the vowels just like you would in french, that wil definetly give you a nice french accent
3- just add some french vocabulary in there for the finnishing touch
:p

Puedo leer Espanol, y puedo entender mucho que oi, pero no puedo hablarlo bien.

IPM, I find Spanish much more lyrical and romantic than French, since it is the more Latin of the romance languages. For the best of both worlds you should study Portuguese. I think of it as Spanish spoken by French people.

Well, perhaps the French are more tolerant than me.

Mind you, they are going to struggle to understand your English...

I certainly didn\'t forget the Dutch, it\'s just that there is not enough room on these forums to mention everyone when you cite an example. I am sure Calavera is sticking pins in my effigy for neglecting the Icelandic faction..:D

Severely offended/lightly offended/mildly amused....

This sort of behaviour in the forums should be....

Encouraged/tolerated/exterminated

Consider yourself...

Thanked/tolerated/cursed to the end of your miserable lineage\'s existence...

That should do.....:D:bouncy:

Yo quero Taco Bell!

Seriously, though, like t_haye, I know Tex-Mex swear words real well. After that, well, we all know Tex-Mex is different from Mexican which is different from Spanish.

Other than that, about all I know is llaves, por favor, mijo, mija, gato...

And then the important words: enchiladas, chalupas, tacos, burritos, sopapillas...lol

You forgot there Quesadillas and Tamales. And a balanced diet also has to include Carnitas, all of it washed down with Tequila

Not very likely, considering Mexico City has a population of over 20,000,000. Although, if you were ever in a hobby shop there, the odds could have been dramatically increased. ;)
