Lady in Waiting WIP

Hey guys,
Thought I would post up a work in progress to see what you all think. Without further ado:

Seeing the picture instead of the mini, I am pretty sure the face needs some more contrast and I see a few mistakes in the highlighting of the dress.

Comments would be helpful. Any thoughts on potential freehand on the dress?

It\'s from the Dark Sword A Song of Ice and Fire miniatures. I only wish I could sculpt like that!

what are you going to do for the base?

I\'ll probably just stick with painting it a stone color, I don\'t want to detract too much from the miniature itself...

Her skin is looking good, and the chain round her waist looks well done, but I\'m not sure about the dress. The colour looks rather uneven in places. Is it GW Midnight blue? I have problems with that colour myself, it\'s so strong and seems very highly pigmented, and often does that weird reflection thing.

I see the problems with the dress too, however I thought that may just be light reflecting off the mini

It\'s actually Reaper Master Series Cyan Blue mixed with Blue Liner and shaded down to black. I think some of what you\'re seeing may be my crappy picture taking, but some of it may be because a couple of the highlights are off... I also haven\'t matte sealed it yet since it\'s still a work in progress...

That is what I assumed, is that the back bottom half of the robe is just glare. Just needs to be matte finished.
