Land raider

Is the Land Raider fully plastic or does it contain metal parts?

How big is the Land Raider compared to a Rhino/Whirlwind/Predator ( photo\'s?)

Is it really hard to assemble?

Is it worth buying a Land Raider if:
it\'s your first tank?
it\'s purely for painting ( Dark Angels)?

have only got the landraider crusader, it has some metalparts, don\'t think the normal landraider does since they make all the parts in plastic for other kits as well.
It roughly twice as big - it looks huge compared to anything, it\'s faily easy to assemble, but wait till you painted the interior - that said yes it\'s worth having a go at, it has so many details and there is so many possibilities for freehand and conversion both on the in - and outside. Get it going and let us see in the WIP.

It looks great and its easy to put together. What more could you ask for! Plus, there are some great looking painted versions around for inspiration on conversion + freehand work!

Let us know how it goes!

Thanks for all your replies! I always loved the land Raider model, but I\'m quite a n00b at tanks so I wanted to be sure it was easy.

The WIP can wait for a LONG time, I want to paint some Dark Angel Veterans first ( to get the right colours ) and I paint very slow ( perfectionist, not really fun when you look up at all those great painters here:rolleyes:))

However, if my parents buy a good camera, maybe I could post some veteran WIP\'s ( even though I should buy them first, helps with the painting:drunk:)

Open for more replies!

Simple solution - paint the interior (And all the difficult to reach parts) before you glue them in place! :p

You might need to retouch some edges or whatever, but it\'s a hell of a lot easier than trying to paint with an endoscope :p lol

Lazy I know, but I can\'t see a tank with open doors riding into a battlefield;)

Yea but, the back hatch opens up.
