One of my friends was telling me that GW has a poll for their customers. But they limited it to the teenagers. None of the older customers can participate? Is that true?

And they wonder why their sales are slumping.

polls that gw used while i was there counted for all types of people but were broken down into categories, beginners, core gamers, veterans and purchases, all for that day.
beginners being any one in on sundays.
core gamers anyone in at any other time except veterans evening.
veterans being any one in on a vets night over sixteen.
these all apply if your painting, gaming or just hanging around.

i only left about a week ago so this should still be the same.:)

Keep in mind, that poll was by GW and THQ, the company that made the Dawn of War computer games.

I wasn\'t too thrilled about being marginalized by my age, but they probably had some purpose in wanting to poll that age group. If nothing else, they can see how many respondents were outside the poll\'s age range.

Marketing companys do this all the time, they target specific areas.
Polling every age group may have been uneffective for what they want.

So...where\'s the problem?

I don\'t see how this could make their sale go down ?
The need to target age groups to put in place efficient marketing strategies.

You dont need the parents, just the credit card details.

And I think the best thing for GWs sales would be if they actually made the prices somewhere in the region people can afford.

From what I understand this particular pole was looking at peoplke in the 18-35 year old demographics range. When I entered my age it said thank you poles done.

Ive taken other poles from them before where my age didnt matter or you could say I was with in the demographics.

I think this story is just another case of people looking for another chance to bash GW.

So in honor of the guy who\'s useually the first to say \"drink\"

I say Cheers! :drunk:

And, based on the fact that it was a GW/THQ poll aimed at the younger demographic, I\'d put forth a completely baseless guess that they\'re possibly working on a console game or version of DoW for the consoles.

If this is the GW/THQ online poll we\'re talking about, I had a go at filling it in. I out in my real age 31 and it carrie don asking me questions . Although it did crash later on. So it looks like it\'s aiming beyond the teens.

It would be logical to target a poll at teens. In the US teens have the largest expendable income. Knowing were that is going probably isn\'t bad.

the poll wasn\'t created by gw, and when they were informed about how it was set up they were taking steps to stop it.

next time they should realy check what they approve.
