hi Gem,
i think that this is a good work but some details che be made better. I speak about the drapery on front, on the legs (more rich ...with some wrote or picture) , the rear of the left arm (the tubes are approximate) and the backpack. I like the MNM effect , you have done a good work. I like the skin on the face and the banner, simple but well made. Compliments for this work, hello! :)

I continue, these minis are both good but I prefer the marine, it looks better than Tah'pioca, feel like there's more work in it. Congrats on the golds at mix op' and thanks for your pics of it.

+1 on the diaper, posted the same thing on the ratings page. I like the flesh tones and the blue effect you achieved on the banner, bland of metals and blue paint?

First, Thanks for your post on the ratings page.

Next, i didn't use metallic painting either on the banner, nor the armor.
the metallic paints are clearly "noticeables".
the eagle on the chest is a yellowish one, and looks like a NMM gold.
Sorry about that, so may be a lot of confusion about what is NMM and TMP.
i mixed a lot of different colors on my palette in order to not make the same hue for the skull, the ultra symbol, the eagle...etc...

For the armor and the banner, I used an airbrush for a "pre-shadowing" work, that means my base color (blue) was shadowed with a mix of burgundy and a chocolate brown (createx), and the chocolate was finally a little too shiny when drying.
But, after the brushwork, some parts were shiny, and some weren't.
The highlights were made with space wolf grey and finally almost white (a mix).

Usually, if i mix metallic and normal paintings, it's only for my base color.
Next, i work the shadows with non metallic painting, and the lights with metallic paintings.
And sometimes, i use acrylics inks in order to bring some different nuances (and shiny effect).

Another questions ? ;)
