This mini is coming along very well :) The blending is looking real terrific :)

How dilute are you making your highlights and shadows?

Thank you Aliengod. Just an aside, I studied your troll axer for GenCon this year, you were unwittingly a huge help!

Highlights and shadows. The shadows are between a wash and a glaze, a glash. The brightest highlights are like that too, but the intermediates are a bit thicker than a wash.

Sorry it\'s been so long, school work\'s got me tied up. Darn you US History! I also used a new blood technique I learned (both at GenCon and by personal misfortune). I highlighted the blade to RMS Pure White, but I plan to pick up some of that super bright Titanium stuff. Let me know how you all like it.

I did his stomach wrap in a sort of ghost purple. I was really aiming for a shiny looking cloth, a sort of magical drow type armor (use your imagination), in the style of a piwafwi. I rebased it in a 50-50 Grey Liner GW Liche Purple Mix, then highlighted with rainy grey then ghost white, then my new Liquitex Titanium White. Let me know.

That\'s one sexy looking mini. Enigma miniatures have so much detail that it drives me nuts to paint and you are handling it like a champ, keep up the good work! :)

Took a break from painting the figure to work on his base. I dropped by Michaels and picked up some wood blocks, the one here 1.5 cube. I also bought a vise and a saw, and then went to work. No in progress shots, sorry. I got excited. =) I started thinking about the original premise for the fig, that is, he\'s standing on the ruins of something he just conquered. I\'ve decided that the ruins of the thing he just conquered will be a dwarf\'s head at his feet, and you can see his sundered shield there. I sprayed it liberally with blood ink. The rock itself is painted Green Stuff. I will pour water once Lathiem is done and mounted.

OK, not much progress, just painted the dwarf head monochrome, cept for the blood. I\'m thinking about redoing the gold on the shield to a steel, to keep all the dwarf\'s stuff monochrome. Sort of a Schindler\'s List type thing, except, you know, with blood. And I mounted Lathiem for a bit of perspective.

Pretty big progress to the front. I painted the wraps on his thighs, and then the skintight thing. Then the kneecap in NMM Steel, and basecoated the dogtag type thingies. Skintight thing done with a basecoat of Brown Liner, highlighted with driftwood, then with Ghost White. A side note: I used ghost white on every part of the model. Funky.

Leg wraps worked on a lot, they still need some shading but I\'m pretty pleased. Also did his groinal medallions, and am considering some green runes on them and a try at osl. I\'d like some opinions so I know if I should do it.

Here\'s an update, with the feet done quickly but not to the level of everything else since they won\'t be seen too well. Brightened some highlights, and most of all fixed the pec, I really like the new look, the highlight is much broader and more real looking. Thank you to everyone who suggested that. And I will go back and blend the medallions better.
