Leather

Hello everyone, I'm gonna paint leather and I'd like to paint it like on this one by Jérome Otremba (executeurdehod):

Any ideas on how he painted it?

Hm. Looks like a base of Snakebite Leather with some darker shade like Scorched brown added for shading, and then highlighted mostly with something like Commando Khaki and bleached bone.
Have you tried PM'ing the original artist? I've found most are quite eager to help out with stuff like that.

I'd concur that Snakebite Leather is the core paint of the leather. Does seem a little more subdued though, especially in the second pic. Could be it's toned down with a drop of grey, or could just be the photo though eh.

Can't tell whether it's blended into that from a darkly-inked version of that colour, or shaded and built back up. The smaller insert suggest a bit of Bestial Brown in the transition between the somewhat subdued Snakebite Leather and the recessess, but could equally be getting that from an ink. The highlights would likely be Bleached Bone or White added into the mix.

I phoned him yesterday.
He is in vacations for almost 2 weeks.
I will ask him and tell you because in very busy for the moment, (Yes even in vacations...) and got no time with his family life.

That is very nice stuff. I can't wait to hear a walk though on that kind of look. What a great mini, and a super paint job too!
