Hi all,

Can someone out there please help me? I played a game against a friend last night and he was using a Legion of the damned army, I was Tau. He said that the legion get an unmodified save for everything is this true?

LotD have a 3+ invulnerable save which means they always get it unless hit by a weapon which specifically negates invulnerable saves like a warscythe.

However you can\'t have an entire army of LotD they are an elite choice for a normal Marine army and as such you can only field a limited number of them.

Thanks guys, he had a full army of them...so let me get this correct he is not allowed to field a whole army just a squad or two? and theyget 3+ invulnerable saves?

I think there was an army list for them in a White Dwarf many years ago but there has been a new Codex or two since then. The only way he should be able to field LotD is as an elite choice in a Marine army or as an Apocalypse datasheet (you\'d need to be playing using the Apocalypse rules obviously).

They do get 3+ invulnerable saves and there are also special rules for their deployment etc. It\'s all in the Marine Codex.
