The brick testament was designed to get children to understand and take interest in the bible, im sure it wasnt expecting to cause a lot of commotion! It is just a bit of religious fun and not meant to be taken by heart.
It LEGO for gods sake!

This site is offensive because of the opening page, though I didn\'t bother to look at the rest. It\'s not funny to have some idiot writing how Jesus was famous for getting himself killed by the Romans and somehow got us eternal life.

Reverend your name is very misleading. I at least thought you to be a Christian.

Erm, I never endorsed all of the fella\'s stuff that appears on the site, only the Brick Testament. Your overreaction is none of my business. And did I ever call myself a Christian ??? You overestimate me my good man. I might have gone through the christian mill, but that\'s my own history. I\'ll tell you all about it if you want!

The point he makes about Jesus \'commiting suicide\' if I read the right article, is based on predestination and the belief that Jesus is omniscient Yahweh. If he was/is, then the whole sacrifice issue was a suicide really. It\'s an extreme way of looking at matters, but certainly not any worse than believing in the trinity as a tenet of faith (impossible to argue convincingly from the bible).

Anyway, I digress. I don\'t go round telling people off for not believing in a giant egg in the sky, so you should be tolerant if you see something that conflicts with you faith. I\'ve got mine, you\'ve got yours. The fact that the link was a site you didn\'t like doesn\'t mean you have the right to attempt a bit of character assassination on me :flame:
We\'re just repeating the other topic now. Does that happen a lot on CMON?
Also, reverend, I would have thought you wouldn\'t double post.

when quoting multiple persons, its easier to double post.

i thought it was funny. ive read the bible a few times (but im no christian), and id like to know, what specifically did you find offensive? seemed pretty true to the book to me.....but like i said, im not a christian, so i may have missed the point.

ok i re-read it, and i could see how it could be rude... but its not that bad.

As a highly devout ex-catholic I have to say :p to anyone that takes shit like this seriously and personally.

The attitude of having your beliefs as beyond comment aor satire or complete mockery is simple masturbatory.

I\'m shocked...
That anyone would believe reverend here is an ordained Christian minister.
You might just as easily expect Reverend Guitars to be made by monks and blessed by the pope or something.

Tell that to Issac Hayes

lol He was quite happy to voice over all the shows that mocked other peoples beliefs. Just not his belief in a higher being (Tom Cruise).

I cant believe that - the brick testament is pure satire. It has too much graphic sex for it to be a serious learning aid for children ;)

Pretty funny though!

Agreed. As a child I wasn\'t taught any of that stuff about how a woman would be unclean for 7 days after her period and must sacrifice 2 birds to get clean again. When I was a kid they didn\'t even want to tell me what a period was.

And if you are a Christian you probably dont practice those things anyway!

There has been some evidence put forth that Issac wasnt the one who cut his contract - it was his Handlers within the movement - especially since he was sick in hospital at the time. And had done Chef for the episode in question.
