Well, here i am after YEARS on hiatus of painting. I'm trying to paint again. Even though most of my friends in my immediate area play some sort of war game or play D&D they dont paint. I find it so difficult to paint alone. Here is the first one i have finished in about a 5 year gap. Took me a while to figure out how to do the BB code thing again! Oh cool another person coming back to painting after years away. I must say it does look good and I like your green colour choice.

Ty ty its hard getting back on the horse after you have stopped for a long time... cant find any plastic bases, not basing material other then the modeling flock laying around. >< It gets frustrating knowing that you could do something and now are no where near able to detail the mini like you want.
Note: Must find box that has other basing material. Bird seeds just doesn't work.

Love the freehand. It may just be the pic but the paint might be getting a little thick on you. Not quite sure tho. But definitely try to find that basing material. ;)

I do believe his name is Ejhine the Vanth. I picked it up at the last So Cal Gen Con.

The staff was based with purple and black. The Horns based with black. Just used white painted thinned and doodled the lines on. The glazes on Blue, and Purple on different area. Though i dont think you can see the purple in the pictures.

Thanks for the tips on what you did for the lines, it looks great. The shadows are nice and subtle, I like it.
