Wow, until this point I had never met someone that had not seen the movies. May I ask you why? As the buddha said they are great. Which I think may be an understatment.

I didn\'t want to see them, either... ended up bending under pressure from my wifeand saw The Two Towers -- not sorry I\'ve seen them all now, but could\'ve done without.

Been reading the series every year or two since the third grade -- that was in 1971! The movies will never replace the pictures in my head, they only add a new dimension.
