Hi all.

This mini was my entry for Salute 08.
Its an absolutely fantastic sculpt in my opinion and I couldn\'t wait to paint it up.

The whole project was a bit of a nightmare from start to finish, but I finally got it to something i\'m reasonably happy with.

I must have done something right as it managed to win me best of show at Salute.

The kitty looks great, but libby looks a little flat in her flesh tones. Otherwise A+!

Meh! You were so lucky my category wasn\'t included for the Best of Show prize I like the frog but the rest of it is just too good and makes me sick :|~

I love her. The fish and the frog are great. And I hate that your water came out so well. One of these days I\'ll master that.

Really great stuff there. The tiger is lovely. Overall just a great piece with a really organic (?) feel. Meaning it all goes together real nice. :drunk:

I think your photos are letting you down Nigel... I think you might need some close up libby ones.

Score seems way too low in all honesty. I know it\'s happened all through history but to my eyes it\'s miles better than the score it has and all I can think is that the photos aren\'t doing it justice (I always assume people vote fairly).

Maybe Matty can photograph it using that fancy light tent thing we\'ve seen no results from yet lol

Yea I nearly burnt my fingers on those bloody lamps, hot little feckers!

I had a play with it, but couldn\'t get the settings quite right. And I\'m waiting for a new table/desk so I can set it up permanently. I should get a decent use out of it for the Chick Challenge mini I am painting, and I\'v got a couple of others I want to redo when I get the settings correct. (Mainly the demon and the barbarians.)

yeah - those lamps are quite toasty... quite swish though with the folding legs... oh well.

I still think it\'s the photos letting libbys score down.

You are probably right Joe....... but I really don\'t care about the scores, I never have.

Now if getting a high score meant something like a proper competition then I may actually try and do something about it.

But please please please rate it a minimum of ten, please.

I commented at the pic, but I\'ll leave one here too.
I normal don\'t vote on minis, just terrain. And on the terrain, I rarely vote 10\'s, because I\'m a bit of a harsh critic.
I voted 10 for this.
Excelent work, painting is excellent, terrain is excellent.
