Life on Mars (U.S ????)

I dunno if anyone has seen this or not, but seems that you guys from the US have got your hands on your own version of Life on Mars. I was a HUGE fan of the BBC version and loved Philip Glenister as Gene Hunt. So when I first heard that there was a US version coming out I first thought \"who\'s gonna play hunt?\"
Well I managed to find me a trailer to it and I was shocked to say the least to see Colm Meaney (best known from Star Trek:NG and Under siege).

I warn any fan who\'s been watched Life on Mars or Ashes To Ashes, this isn\'t pretty. I first thought this was a comedy not a police / cop series.

One word Mike \"Nostalgier\" or however you want to spell it :D

Compared to some of the rest of the twoddle they put on TV such as football (soccer for the Yanks) and Soaps Life on Mars was an excellent series and I enjoyed both series 1 & 2 but Ashes to Ashes was a big let down really and had completely lost the plot.

That link for the trailer doesn\'t work it brings up an e-mail instead of a trailer???

I\'ve expressed my opinion of Football several times on here. :|~
As for Soaps :|~ the word I\'m thinking of has one less letter and begins with a \"S\" as well.

I\'ve found that I\'m watching less TV altogether. (Mythbusters, Painting & Drawing Channel, occasional CSI if I\'m looking to vegetate, Bones for a good Laugh).

But I did pick up \"Jekyll\" as my local W.H.Smiths for £7 as opposed to £30 at HMV. ( I suppose that some one had priced it incorrectly)
And I was impressed with that series, a lot better than I\'d thought. Lots of Dark Humour. Must have been the BBC on a good roll.

Oh Cr*p in a handbag,.............It\'s Eurovision Song Contest Finals next weekend.
They\'ll have dug Terry Wogan\'s festering corpse up once again.............................Shoot me now please.

God isn\'t it just i used to be able to sit in front of the TV and enjoy something from 7pm to 10pm (anyone remember the old days when Batman was rerun on Channel 4 then Casualty then Red Dwarf on BBC2!!) now it\'s like a lobotomy everytime i turn on the TV. Must be a sign im showing my age (26 in two weeks) as even my kid\'s TV shows are more tolerable than the standard Saturday night line up

I can never decide which is more boring, soaps, cricket, soccer or tennis but then maybe they are all as bad as each other and watching paint dry is a far better waist of time :D

Cake or Death?
My wife and I haven\'t watched more than a couple of hours of television since we got married. After watching our favorite shows (Stargate, Babylon 5, Heroes) on DVD, we are just too spoiled to go back to commercials and too cheap to buy a Tivo.
