Brown Snow

@Trev the recipe for the mud is similar to the snow recipe that Jenova has on her site (i think). PVA glue, fine sand (instead of woodland scenic snow) and pigments in this case a mix of vallejo earth,charred brown and parasite brown.

I was about to ask! How are the reeds done then? They look fantastic.

You use moss to represent reeds??

fruiting bodies

the reeds are the fruiting bodies or spore heads of the moss it is really important that the moss is dryed correctly and collected responsibly (we don\'t want area\'s of bryophytes decimated) but have a look around your back garden/yard and you will find many different species, which like flowers will \'flower\'at different times of the year etc. I have found that natural drying helps them retain colour and intergrity whilst forced drying tends to ruin them.
