List of things to buy

Well, since I\'ve gotten back into this hobby and especially through CMON the list of things to buy is getting rather long.

digital camera
lamps
several new armies...tyrandis, wood elves, some orks, lots of 15mm figures for DBA armies
lots more figure to paint...Hasslefree, Privateer Press, some of those Avatars of War, lots more that I can\'t off hand remember the manufacturers atm
sculpting supplies
reaper master series paints
P3 paints
vallejo model color paints
lots of stuff for scratch buliding things
a few of those Tamiya clear colours
new computer, as this one\'s packing up
bigger house to hold everything

I know there\'ll be more yet.

How Bout a thicker skin for all the smart arsed half arsed comments about how you\'re not painting to the official game standards or how you\'re not using the latest up to date trick of the minute like Metallic Non Mettalic Sky Earth Zen Brush application techniques -

Or for when someone is attacking your beliefs in the same - ;)

PlayBOY? I thought I was supposed to get playGIRL! I knew my hubby\'s pron would come in handy some day.

Let\'s see....what do I need...New paints (according to my hubby)...Brushes, always brushes...a new hoop bulb for my mag light...a room for myself to paint in...talent...time...a winning lotto/power ball ticket....I think that\'s it.

Thanks for the suggestions people. Some useful, some funny :)

@steelcut I think the thicker skin can wait a little, at least until I can get the camera to show you guys my minis, then I\'ll be prepared for the feedback. I may even show you my very first mini, painted when I was 11. If I can survive the cooments about that then I\'ll be set.

@spazzy The magnifying glass would probably help a lot. As for the optometrist, I think I\'m sorted. Had my vision checked recently. I had thought my health problems (C.F.S.) were just making my vision a bit blurry, being tired. What a revelation to find my prescription for my glasses was wrong. I can see again!! GW stocks...hmm, I know they dropped a lot, maybe I should check into them and buy if they\'re still low...oh wait, I\'ll need money for that. lol

@vincegamer Me? Look at porn? What kind of a person do you think I am? ahem...

@treide Don\'t know what that syrup is but as I have recently started brush licking, I may have to find out.

@ZapotekE I think we would all love to have a time machine.

@airhead Aha, I\'m actually one step ahead of you there. I recently bought myself a size 0 and 1 series 7 and I already have a pin vice and bits, including some extra bits as small as .3 mm. I\'m an expert at breaking drill bits. :duh:

@generalpoleaxe Have you got a list of French masters so I can move next door to one, seeing as I\'ll be needing a new house anyway?

@lizcam yep, a winning lotto ticket would sure come in handy.

And as soon as you can convince a girl to sit naked for hours while you paint a miniature of something she has probably never heard of ever, you let us all know.

And we want photos for comparison.:D

The person who asked was named Roger, so I made an assumption. I could be wrong.
Of course, even so, there are far more naked lady minis than naked men minis so it may still be more helpful.

Oh, and Playboy is not porn.
It\'s a libertarian slanting political magazine ... that also happens to have pictures of naked ladies and fashion advice.

Serious Monthly Eye Candy and a DVD with Pictures of Nude models included.
Of course I only use them as reference to try to work on my sculpting skills. :rolleyes:

You\'d better get in some hired help too, someone to do all the things you should be doing, while you\'re spending hours glued to CMON, or perhaps even occasionally painting minis.:rolleyes:

Hired help!? I use clones... got one at work, got one in the kitchen, one in the sofa watching all the TV-series n\' movies one ought to see, one in the bed doing all the stuff you better be doing there (sleep... uhm... sleep...?) one doing all the shopping, one attending all the school meeting and so on.. and then there\'s me: at the computer/work-bench writing silly stuff to the likes of me and trying to get some painting done :rolleyes:

if you have all that set up - why the hell are you still painting? i can think of better things to do!

i need to get a nice thin brush for some freehand i wanna try. want some p3 paints now (got a vallejo model colour box worth £100, the full foundation set and a LOAD of gw\'s but i still need MORE!!). i also want lloyd\'s Metallic Non Mettalic Sky Earth Zen Brush. and more time, patience, skill and money

@Dragonsreach I do actually have the first 4 issues of ImagineFX but as my computer is so naff it won\'t run any of the demos or programs, so I stopped buying it until I get a new computer. Great artwork in there though.

@supervike Funny clip. Don\'t think I\'ll be trying any Ipecac any time soon though :|~

@hubbabubba and ZapotekE I don\'t mindwhich. Maybe I could hire one person and get them cloned. One of me is enough.

@freakinacage Maybe we should start a donation drive for our paint funds.

Time is a funny thing. I could tell you how I feel while I am typing this, but by the time you read it, I\'m not typing it anymore. There is no now, only then.
