Little help

Hello out there

I’m writing because as the title say need a little help. My girlfriend wanted to give me this bust (http://www.frontiermodels.co.uk/MOO...n-Bust-Resin-Model-Kit-by-Pegaso-p-16448.html) for my birthday so she ordered it from the same site, Frontier Models. She ordered it over a month ago, and of course it hasn’t arrived yet. They were fast to withdraw the money from her account but not so fast in replying her two e-mails, regarding whether she would receive the order or not.

Left with a feeling that we are ripped off my question is what to do now? The bust was ordered from their UK based website and we live in Denmark. Does anyone know this company, and what would you do in a situation like this.

Try calling them. +44 7979 334366 (International). Sometimes companies are more responsive to phone calls than emails. Also check with your local customs office. Sometimes things get stuck if the correct box or description of the item is not completed properly on the declaration form. If no or unsatisfactory response from the company, then contact the countries business regulatory agency and file a complaint. If you paid with credit card or PayPal, file a dispute. Also talk to your bank to find out what they suggest the proper steps would be for dealing with fraud.

Damn, I was meant to post something about Steve and his Frontier Models scam. Fereian, get your credit card / payment provider to cancel the payment and demand your money back IMMEDIATLEY. You will not receive your order. I placed an order over a year ago, I emailed and emailed, left a couple of phone messages, eventually got a response. Something about a family illness delaying orders etc. If I wasn't going through some major familly issues myself, I would have contacted my bank and got my money back. I didn't, I forgot about it, but emailed again earlier this year, and got the exact same excuses. Frontier Models are the worst 'shop' I have had the misfortune of dealing with. Oh, and I'm not the only one, check with trading standards! Don't be an idiot like me, demand your money back immediatley (a rhyme this early in the morning!)

It sucks when a company doesn't have good customer service. A few of us older US modellers still remember the nightmare that was Newwave.org. And we're talking basic things that should be automatic nowadays, like having the online store show if in stock or not, confirming your order and if/when your stuff shipped. I think the failings of having such a wide selection is that you have to keep up with it. (Note: I had brought up the BBB's website before I realized the significance of the .co.uk.... I need some tea to wake me up, it seems.)
If you're really set on the bust, why not order direct? http://www.pegasomodels.com/productdetails_en.asp?id=700

Thank you all for the advice. My girlfriend will contact our credit card provider tomorrow. I am sorry to hear that some of you had bad experience with this "fraud" company too. And as you say Evil Homer my girlfriend will demand her money back instantly, no reason to keep writing this guy. Isn't it possible in this forum to make a list of all the bad providers out there, some sort of little black book?
