London painting team?

Hi folks...


Quick question... are there any other serious painters in the London/south east England area?

I\'m getting to that stage where... as much as I enjoy painting by myself... it\'d be nice to add a social side to this hobby and I\'d really like some like-minded folks to bounce ideas off or go for a pint with and chat minis...

If there\'s already a London based painting team... what do I have to do to join?

If there isn\'t.... is there anyone in the area interested in starting one? I really feel having a team attending painting comps makes the whole hobby a much more sociable one... and lets you share in others happieness (or dissapointment) if you\'re all entering together...


Anyway... drop me an e-mail if anyone knows of a team, or is interested in starting one.

PS: I\'m North west London at present, Hounslow, but get to a few of the London GW shops on a regular basis, especially the Harrow shop.

bah! There used to be a team in West London - Kensington/Shepherds Bush area, but now they are all split up and none of them are in London any more... They do have a new website though..!

by the way... everone seems to list their rating on CMON... how on earth do you find out what your rating is?

Go into the Add/Edit picture section on the CMON front page, you\'ll find the code to use there.

There is a thread about here somewhere about painters from London meeting up. I can\'t remember precisely, but I think medved started it (about 2 months ago)

Cool, found it...

How does it work? Is it based on average scores, or is it based on your total score?

if someone had one mini up there that scored 9.9, and another person had 200 minis up with an average of 9.0... would the person with the single mini rank higher?


Just interested to know how it works!

There are quite a few ideas/enquiries going around about painting teams/groups in the UK

It might be an idea to start up a thread for everyone who is interested in joining a group to post their location/distance they are willing to travel. Then we can take a look at numbers of people to see what the best approach would be

Im not a brilliant painter, but I am improving and taking it fairly seriously and live near Harrow. Try asking staff in store there if anyone else is interested who paints well.
Btw well done at conflict (if youre the same Rocket and Roll)
