Hi,

after a long time (moving and painting some dwarves) I am back to display level painting.

I started working on a small diorama with Dark Vengeance Ezekiel, using Camelson's excellent version as inspiration.

Armor is VMC 70.961 Sky Blue, VMC 70.841 Andrea Blue, VMA 71087 Dark Sea Blue, and shading is 1:1 VMA 71041 Armour Brown:VMC 70.950 Black.
Green metal is VMC 70.961 Sky Blue, VMC 70.841 Andrea Blue, VMC 70.827 Lime Green, VMA 71.014 Gunship Green, and shaded as above.

This is an awesome figure and I'm looking forward to your version.

I do worry that the grainy primer is affecting the look of your blends, though.

Thanks Toad!

TBH I was not satisfied with the photo either, it was a bit noisy, here is a new version with my DSLR (used only Noise Reduction with param 4 in GIMP):

The inside of the cloak is VMA 71.009 Duck Egg Green, 3:1 and 1:1 mix with VMA 71.014 Gunship Green, dithered, not blended.
Not satisfied with the trimming, will find out something better.
The outside is 1:1 and 1:2 mix of Duck Egg Green:Gunship Green, Gunship Green and 2:1:1 mix of Gunship Green:Black:Armour Brown.
The dithering on the outside is about the same IRL, I was very satisfied with it.

The armour blends really nicely, and the dithering on the cloak adds an excellent texture. Excellent stuff

Thanks, guys!

I am struggling however, with the inside of the cloak.
Did not like plain gold lines, tried to add spikes, likes on the back:

This was missing some contrast, so switched to dark green lines:

This is too plain, and as I did not understood why the line size did not align. Fun fact: the pattern on the back side has uneven width, too, so that's why I could not pin on the front, either. Meh.
I will come back when I will now what to do with it.

Some progress though on the book and the grenade:

Great job adding all the freehand. You are great with your blending. Your face is beautiful, as is skull.
this whole mini is looking beautiful.
