Seems that I can not make quick progress nowadays, had to spend a lot of time to perfect this pointillist method, we are moving, etc.

Etc. means e.g. if your daughter hits her arm, and you can see a bump on it, take here to a doctor, as it is possible that she broke her arm (one of the bones in her lower arm), even if it does not always hurt, and you will spend a half weekend in E.R.

But meanwhile I could finish the cloak.
For the inside as base color I used 1:1 mix of VMC 70.844 Deep Sky Blue : VMC 70.907 Pale Grey Blue, for highlight VMC Pale Grey Blue, for shading 4:4:1 mix of base : VAC Dark Sea Blue : VMC Black.
Gold is as usual.

Seems that it will look fine when assembled, I wished to create a neutral but light background for the mini:

And decreased the black area on the back, there was too much difference between the sides:

The cloak looks awesome now! I like it much more now with it darker than when it was lighter.
Nice work!

Thanks, Tee!

But please do not forget that I used to take photos with my phone, around midnight, so the light settings can vary.

The cloak looks awesome Lem, glad you stuck with that technique. Especially around where the cloak folds over the sword.

Looking forward to seeing the rest of this guy painted uo

Hi Mate
Hope you haven't already mentioned, but what base-coat colour are you using with the gold? Looks really awesome by the way.

That's a lot of great work and it looks awesome :)

Clarke:
I started working on the left hand + on the sword.

The new Red is VMC Dark Vermillion 70.947, highlighted with VMC Basic Skintone 70.815 and shaded as above, with 1:1 mix of VMC 70.950 Black and VMA 71.087 Dark Sea Blue on the front, and with 1:1 mix of VMC 70.950 Black and VMA 71.014 Gunship Green
For gold I use VMC Japan Uniform 70.923, highlighted with Schmincke Titanium White and shaded as above.

NMM looking great, particularly on the little demon faced arm bracer. Red and Blue contrast really give it some oomph too.

Guys, thanks, all of you!

clarke:

I would add to Arkaan that I am using 1:1 mix of yellow:shade for the shades and 3:1 yellow:white mix for the flat highlight, and pure white only for some dots.
I had to experiment a little to find out how will it look like a true metal, but as I said, it was a pleasant surprise to me, too.

So continuing with the head.

Horn is VMC Chocolate Brown, but I had to paint some recesses by hand to make it look good and even. Shade is as usual

Skin is VMC Red Leather, VMC Basic Skintone. I noticed that mixing TitaniumWhite to RedLeather made it chalky, I had to add an intermediate color for good result. Shade is as usual

I had some problem with the eyes, too, they are too small to see any pattern I can paint on them. I feel that does not matter what I paint, the horns simply distract the viewer.
