Nice work, that. There\'s a lot of character in his face. I\'m also always a fan of 40k toons with cigars -- so bravo on that as well.

Awesome looking grunt-face!
But the eyepatch needs a piece of string though, maybe you wanted to do that, no idea :)

it looks great! :D
I just have some question... is the eye patch of metal? or are you still going to sculpt the strap?
and are you going to sculpt the rest of the belt on the stomach? so that you have sculpted so far on the body is both cloth and a belly?

keep up the good work :D I look forward seing some progress on this mini :)

The eye patch is metal so i won\'t be making any string and i will sculpt the belt later. I sculpted the belly as one to save time but hopefully the belt will split is up and then i will add some cloth coming over the top.

Have just finished the main belt shape and i am happy with it. I don\'t know whether to do a traditional belt buckle or do a clip type thing like on Space marine belty things. Also i have tidied up the face, but you can\'t see half the stuff IRL.
I am going to do a MASSIVE power sword which he will be holding over his shoulder with a belt elbow and a dirty great big pistol from =I= as soon as i get me hands on one.

Ta everybody. I am back to school now so updates will be few and far between. i have finished the belt except for the buckle and done some cloth over the top.
Will have some pics up in a mo. Sorry for the quality but its dark and my light isn\'t great.
Again if anyone can tell me either how to make my pictures small or turn them into a kind of multi-picture picture it would be greatly appreciated.:D

Here is the pic. Sorry there is only one. I don\'t have time to take more and there isn\'t really much to update. Dont\' know whether the tattered top is to much. I hope tomorrow i will be able to ruffen up all the clothes. Just realised how to resize images however i would still like to know how to make multi-pics.
Ta toby:D

Hi,

Looking forward to following this! I like the cigar, hopefully the Ogryn knows which way goes in his mouth!

Depending on what program you use for your photos, resizing is quite straightforward. if you have a copy of photoshop you can use the \"Save to web\" feature to reduce both the dimensions and size of the file.

There is a good guide here

There is also a link at the botom of the first post for montages. If you dont have photoshop, which is pretty easy to acquire, a free program called GIMP can do pretty much the same things.

Aidan: Thanks for that but i can\'t seem to get the background (gradient) to work it always covers my whole pic or not at all. I\'m using GIMP although i only had a quick go.:D
Duende: Yeah but i\'m just LAAZY.:p ( and busy thats the reason ....yes [scarpers]..

You need to separate out the mini part of the photo (magic wand tool in photoshop, must be similar in GIMP) from the background, then apply the gradient as a separate layer. Taking the photo on a nice white background helps the program to differentiate the mini from background (i use plasticard).

Sorry i dont have the gimp on my work computer so i cant see what tool to use.

Thank you everybody i can do it now my pics will be better from now on thanks to the good people and the little gremlins of CMON. Does anyone have any opinions on the top fabric bit? Too much or enough?

The top of the fabric looks good in my opinion. I dont think its too over done or under done, in fact I think its just right.

Looking at the mini, I thought, wouldnt that look great with some cargo pants type pockets on it! (but thats just a wild thought I had)

Amasing work. Fabrics fine. don\'t add more. Hope he gets a lot of big guns.
Have you taken any sculpting lessons/classes or are you self taught - and if so can you give any hints/links to good tutorials/webpages or similar?
