Here its shorts and parka weather - 40 in the morning, 70 at noon and 50 when the sun goes down.
At least its quit raining. An interesting feature of a loess desert is that when the loess gets wet it gets slippery and sticky - so you gain 4 inches in height walking from the truck to the door to work.

Freezing at night and like springtime warm during the day.
@Skelettet: Can't say I agree with you on your opinion on the seasons, to me it feels like there are about two weeks of winter, five months of spring, two weeks of summer and six months of autumn. And autumn is constant rain and that watery cold weather you only get when mother nature don't know what she wants. The spring is a wee bit better since it isn't raining as much but for some cursed reason it is constantly wet anyway. Oh and the two weeks of summer is the most unbearable season of them all, might have something to do with my light allergy and total inability to soak up heat though.
Let there be winter I say! I put on a sweater today when I went out and took deep, deep lovely breaths of the thin crisp air. It never went above 0 at all today and I couldn't be happier! Remember, it is always easier to wear another piece of clothing than to peel off your skin.
And the dark is something I definitely prefer since I don't walk around sneezing all day long.

ok i take back some of the things i wrote; i really like the spring, not the autumn. it's the spring that feels like two weeks, it just pops fron -30C to +30C in no time at all. the autum runs from aug to nov, and thats not very fun either with constant rain. but i cant stand this cold and darkness (hit me ritual
)

I love winter - FOG is my favourite weather.
So remind us where abouts you live Tim.
Warm in the British Isles, not often enough for me.
After an operation years ago, cold affects me very easily.
I've had hypothermia warning signs during a fell walk in March once.
Good job I recognised the symptoms, but it was scary at the time.

At the beach I grew up at, fog was wonderful. It rolled in every summer afternoon and made it very comfortable until bedtime. My best memories in high school were of painting while the fog went past my window.
This place kinda sucks for fog - here, fog means mandatory overtime, low school attendance and multiple-fatality traffic collisions.

Luckily not very. A few detours in the days after but nothing much - thankfully Cork isn't totally flat!
My favourite story from the incident is the underground carpark to the side of a new hotel... located right beside a river known for flooding (not like this, just overspilling the banks every now and then). I'd love to know what genius gave approval for that :loser:
And yes, it was turned into a swimming pool - filled right to the ceiling apparently.

Have to say, fog and mist can look very cool. Just as long as I don't have to drive through it; scary as hell when it's bad.

Ah...Winter in the South. I remember the lack of it well. lol
Two months to this day I will be back in Canada enjoying piles of snow. Yes, -17 (or more) weather. And the neighbors looking out their windows watching the guy next door's crazy son in law from the South shoveling hte walk way because he thinks snow is cool and awesome.lol

We dropped below 21C last night!!!! (and yes, I did that conversion just for you lot, because it was really 70F
It's suppost to rain here all day today and tommorow as we get our first real cold front of the season.
It might just be lower 60F (15C) around Christmas :cute:
I've only seen this 'snow' thing you talk of once. It 'snowed' in 1988, I was 2 and it didn't make it to the ground, but I remember.
