Looking for a bit of help with a High Elf Army paint theme

It\'s been fun playing and painting my daemons, but I need a change for a bit. I\'ve decided to go with an army that is the direct opposite of theme: the High Elves. Since I\'ve decided to go with High Elves for a while, I\'ve been doing a lot of looking around for ideas on how I want to paint and present these guys. Blue appears to be the most common color, which can be expected, but I want something a little different for my elves; I want them to stand out a bit more.

Having read the lore behind these guys in the book and the Warhammer rule book, I feel that I want to make them a bit more menacing considering all the stuff they\'ve been through. I can\'t imagine that the continual onslaught of Druchii and the lovely re-appearances of daemons can leave people so joyous all the time.

I\'ve found a theme I want, and it\'s one that I\'m familiar since I\'m a recovering WoW addict (some of you may recall that thread. Still clean!!):

Blood Elf

I think it\'d look bold and sharp, but is it feasible? I\'m just wondering how I\'d effectively apply the colors to say my White Lions Unit. I know that my spearmen unit would look stunning and I have some ideas for the mages and such.

Anyone else ever base their army off something like this? I think it\'d be a ton of fun.

Any feedback would be appreciated!

Yes very feasible.
Red, Yellow(Gold) and Black are good balancing colours to use. So the impact could look rather nice on the Table top.
As for the White Lions Just make sure all the Icons for Lions are White and you should be good to go.
(If you want some inspiration look in the GW Grudglore book at the image of the Pheonix king, Worked for me.)

I tried googling some images of it, found a little, but none like the one you have there. I\'ll keep hunting around.
