Hi everyone...well I\'ve started painting again!

(screw school, who needs it right?) HA just kidding. but I\'ve decided to start painting a little a night instead of feeling discouraged that I only have a limited amount of time...

SO! I\'ve got 2 ideas for two specific dioramas

1) vaudeville chick-type

2) Japanese/ Chinese martial artist of sorts...nothing specific, just oriental looking.

If someone could just point me in the direction of a company that caries one or the other, I would be super happy.

thanks!

Reaper may also have some Japanese/martial arts type miniatures.

As for a vaudeville chick-type??? your goig to have to explain this one a little more..cause Im clueless...

That\'s pretty much the way to do it, Becca. Even 15-30 minutes of painting a night, or some nights, can keep the creative juices flowing. Who knows it might help your paper writing too, if you have something fun to do during study break :)

True DAT NSA!

Its been great getting back into it

got a few things hitting the gallery and ebay (nudge, nudge, wink wink) soon which is fantastically exciting

Thank you everyone for all your suggestions, I just didn\'t even know the first place to start looking for a oriental-esque mini.

as for the vaudeville chick, I wanted something like Cathrine Zeta-Jones in Chicago. That era. ...and all that jazz.

I think you meant this...

These are not \'Vaudville\', but rather Vaudville era, roaring 20\'s, Prohibition era, etc...

They are produced by Copplestone Castings.
Westwind also makes a seies of interesting figs based on the same time period called \'Chaos in Cairo\'. I say interesting because although the sculpts are rather rough they have a certain \'flavor\' I like. Included in the line is this honey

Her name is Lorelei Wang, and she is both a martial artist AND from the Vaudville period.

I will agre that although many companies produce martial artists, Hasselfree has the nicest.

Becca - Reaper has 3 or 4 Female oriental monk/martial artist types.

If you can find them, the old Ral Partha/Rafm Line has a 3 part female adventurer in the Call of Cthulu line that might work for the 20\'s style you are looking for.

You might be interested in this old Grenadier (92) thing. You\'d probably want to lose the uzi and maybe bob her hair, but it\'s definately Chicagoish

If your interested make me an offer ($ money you perverts) or maybe you\'d like to trade it for something.
