Due to a sudden burst of inspiration I\'ve decided to try and make another diorama...... however, I kinda need cathedral bits for my next piece... cos I am kinda tired of sculpting them from scratch and its time consuming and consumes a lot of resin... which I am told is mildly toxic....:p

would really appreciate it if someone can point me in the direction of some nice looking ruined cathedral pieces. :)

Manorhouse workshop, they were really starting to piss me off with their relentless barrage of scenery posts, but I went to their site on a whim and have had to eat humble pie. They do some really nice kits, including loads of ruin sets, pillars etc, could be just what you are looking for.

link type thing here: http://www.manorhousew.com/

Ainsty do some nice resin stuff. there catalogue isn\'t huge (according to them) but they have a good selection and most of the fantasy line is matchable to scale.

They are HERE

I\'ll be looking over some of their stuff on Saturday at the Leeds \"Fiasco\" Show.

Tried hirst arts castle molds?

here

You buy rubber molds that you cast with plaster for almost anything.

Hirst Arts....

Hirst moulds are brilliant! The only problem is, you can get so carried away with them that you forget what you were originally trying to achieve to begin with:flip:

Hi guys,

thanks for the links and suggestions :)
Telis... you are certainly amazing... how did you manage to get styrofoam cut so neatly? Thanks fur the inspiration :)

the hirst molds really look fantastic, but er.... its really easy to go overboard with them.... probably I\'ll look into them when I have to do really large scale stuff with loads of bits.. thanks fur the suggestion....:)

Thanks for the nice comments:) I use a Hotwire cutter mounted on a Table to perform these precision cuts. For cutting out the Windows and Bows, I\'ve made some templates from Plastic card that helps me by cutting out this specific gothic forms with a scalpel.
here u can get some nice tools ;)

Thanks Tetlis

That looks like a great site and has gone straight into my favourites folder. I have also just emailed them to ask if they ship to the UK. Decent foam cutters are hard to get hold of over here:(

Which of their tools do you find the most useful????
