Looking for certain colors

I've been playing world of Warcraft a lot lately and I just got into Warmachine and Hordes, more specifically Legion of Everblight.
There is warlock called eLylyth and she looks surprising like Sylvanas Windrunner.

I had the idea of doing some painting work to paint Lylyth like Sylvanas but i don't know colors well enough to know what paints to buy to make her skin color. I looked through my local miniature paint store today but none of the colors seem to match up.What colors do you think I should use?

One last question. When i been painting female models I've been having a hard time making the bust and stomach skin "pop". I tried black wash to get into the lines but it just makes it look nasty and dirty. How could I go about making them pop and be more noticeable.

I'm really excited about this idea!

If I wanted to paint something like that I'd take a dark blueish-grey as a base (shadow-grey) and shade with a bit of a purple and/or blue.
Finally to make it more skinlike I'd highlight it with a light flesh color(VMC basic skin) and a bit of light pastely yellow(BleachedBone or even Ivory).

I don't quite understand what you want to do exactly, but one small trick to "pop" bust is to darken the underside a lot AND highlight the upper part of the stomach a lot.
The difference between the two will make the bust look bigger / brings it more to attention. (ok for Lylyth it won't be a problem, the sculpt doesn't really support this 'trick')
Other than that, it's really the same highlighting as with other parts of the figure. On the placement of the highlights I'd search through the images here for good looking female models. It helps a lot if you don't have to figure it yourself, but can take it from a more talented artist.

Cool idea, good luck with the project. MAXXxxx's suggestions sound good. Another option would be to go with some of the Reaper Master Series paints. They're similar to Vallejo but I like them a little better. My first try would be to take dusky skin and then transition to white. Maybe use these 4 colors:

Or, to give it a little more of a skin feel, switch a fair skin highlight for the leather white

Or you could try this combination. Instead of dusky skin you could try their dark elf skin mix.

I haven't done much with this sort of skin tone, so these are just my best guesses and where I'd start. I'm interested to hear what others think.

Thank you Bailey! Those are interesting combinations. I'll check Reaper Master Series out. Might try the last paint scheme because it makes more since based on what I'm going for. But that is why there is paint remover haha. I'll post pictures when I get my supplies, and start on it!

EDIT: I found a color that looks nice: Snow Shadow, from the Master Series line.

Also check the painting articles here on different skin tones and the ones on chest of colors for examples of cool or winter skin tones.

One thing you could do to make busts and stomachs pop is to use coloured shadows insteas of the black you tried. Blue and purple tones can mix well with lighter skintones without giving a dirty impression. Or try reddish browns for warm shadows. also, look at reference material to help decide where to exaggerate shadows and highlights. What better excuse could you get for looking at naked ladies?:-D
