Looking for feedback

Here is my latest submission, the Iosan Fighter from Privateer Press\' awesome Iron Kingdoms range of miniatures. I posted this one about a week ago but since I am looking for improvement I am putting the mini up for discussion. Even though the voters think otherwise I think this is my best miniature so far.

One suggestion I had so far was to shade the metals, esp. on the spear, more to make the metallics darker.

What do you think?

I like it alot it looks very dark and moody the metalics are very well done too. I voted a nine I will comment later but I have to go out now.

I would have to agree with Tim. I like the look and the feel of it. I think that the brastplate may not be as well done as the rest of the mini. But other than that it is very well done.

Very well done. I like the limited palette. Don\'t worry about the score ... (that\'s what others keep telling me anyway. lol ) I agree that it is a subtle improvement over other minis in your gallery, but I\'d be hard pressed to quantify what is better about it. He just looks more natural than some of the others...

I like him very much, I just think the metallics could have been better, maybe more extreme shading/highlighting. I esp. like the skin, the cloak and it\'s trim and the base.

Everything cool here, I\'m not worried about the score. Just an observation because I think this is probably my best mini so far. Not everybody must agree though...

I wouldn\'t go for darker metals, but more contrast might help - darker darks & whiter highlights.

Voted and commented love the pallette very sutable for the model. Has a very dark broody feel.nice one

Good work on the miniature, nice choice of colors, and the armour and cloak really look amazing. But the metallics look a bit rough to me...

I like it alot. The freehand on the robes look great. I agree that the spear needs a bit more shading. The eyes are a let down. You still seem to be laying the paint a tad bit thick.

Above all of that a solid mini!

Hey Jake, thanks for the feedback Since I want to improve - where do you think the paint is too thick? I tried a few different techniques on the mini, maybe it has something to do with this. And why do you feel the eyes are a let down?

And please don\'t tell anyone, but the the freehand on the cloak is actually the sculpted hem and I wasn\'t really sure what to do with it...

That date in June wasn\'t the best for us both: I was on holiday and Jasper was having exams. Hopefully it will be in May again next year so we can be there again
