Looking for help - Duke of Edinburgh

No I am not Prince Phillip, but I do need some help for my son James.

James has just started his Duke of Edinburgh Silver award programme and, as part of this, he needs to develop a skill. he wants to improve his figure painting. At the moment he mainly collects Eldar and Necrons from Games Workshop, but I am slowly steering him towards other companies as well.

As part of his award programme he needs an assessor, someone who would be willing to review a few painted miniatures he has done, read the short write-ups on skills and techniques used and then, at the end of the process, write a short report assessing his progress.

I am a pretty accomplished miniature painter myself, but as his dad, I am not allowed to write the report. I was wondering if anyone here might be willing to act as his assessor. He and I would be immensely grateful. we could post the pics of his WIP here.

If anyone feels they could spare an half an hour or so every couple of weeks to assess his work, it would be amazing.

Please contact me either here or on my inbox.

many many thanks.

With 40 plus years of painting under my belt, and a former scout leader doing assessments, as well as having taught, I'm happy to oblige.

Hiya,

Thank you so much. I note you are not a million miles away either in Bolton. we live in Tameside.

It relaly shouldn't take huge amounts of your time. perhaps if I post up pics every now and agin of James' work and of you could offer some insight then, as i say, in a few months if you could write a short report, not more than 200-400 words is mroe than enough discussing his progress etc, that would be fantastic.

We would need an email adress as the lead assessor may want to confirm you exist, if you send us an email at (email edited out for safety) if that's okay.

thanks again.

Paul and james.
