Looking for info on an Empire model

I\'v just ordered the GW Empire Hero with Gory Blade:

And this one was sculpted by Brian Nelson. But I pretty sure it was sculpted by him (or somebody else) a few years ago for GD and won a trophy.

Any info on the year, the award and the original sculptor (If it wasn\'t Brian Nelson) would be great, as I can\'t seem to find any.

Well, I can\'t find anything either. Brian Nelson isn\'t listed on the demon winners website.

Yea i\'v searched through that for a good while. But couldn\'t find it.

Then when his name wasn\'t there I figured it might not have been him who originally sculpted it.

Hhmmmmm.

AFAIK He sculpted it for his personal collection, and then with the \"collectors range\" they decided to have it cast

Well I figured that. But did it win a demon at one point?

It was at first a very limited production by Brian some while back. Mike Anderson painted it and it was featured in WD 326. It says there it was a one off but IIRC I think there was some other dudes getting a hold of it too... might be wrong on that though. I don\'t think it has won a trophy.

Cheers, thats where iv seen it. I had a funny feeling Mike Anderson or Martin Footitt had some connection to it. Thats why I was unsure about the sculptor.
