Looking for reference material...

Can you guys post pics or links to models that have been painted with an effect similar to the one below somewhere in the composition? Disregard color, I\'m just looking for the effect itself as reference. I know I\'ve seen a couple but I didn\'t save them and now I can seem to find them.

So you\'re just after semi-transparent flames?

I\'d say have a look at Eldar fire dragons and flame-themed characters like the Avatar...

It\'s not 100% the resource I think you are looking for but I found these videos pretty interesting when facing a similar task earlier this year:

You can see to the right of the video a bunch of links inc., how to create the blue flame affect you have in the img.

Interesting Effect, I\'d be tempted to use Very Thin White (Vallejo Airbrush) to make the outlines and then use Transparent colours from Vallejo to wash up to the edges of the White paint acting somewhat like a stain.

In Fact that is so intriguing I might have to give it a try this weekend.
